MORAGA, Calif. - The San José State women's tennis team (3-0, 0-0 Mountain West) will battle the Saint Mary's Gaels (3-2, 0-0 WCC) on Friday afternoon. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex.
- The Spartans were scheduled to play yesterday (Feb. 14) against the USF Dons but the match was postponed because of rain and will be played at a later date to be announced.
- The Spartans' most recent match was an impressive win over Cal Poly in a battle of the unbeatens. The Spartans handed the Mustangs their first loss of the season with a 4-3 victory.
- Prior to the Cal Poly contest, the Spartans opened the season with wins over UC Riverside and Sacramento State.
- Carolina Millan and Cheuk Ying Shek were named the Mountain West Player of the Week and the Mountain West Freshman of the Week, respectively, on Jan. 31. after impressive performances in the opening week.
- Rozalina Youseva has yet to lose this season as she has recorded a combined 5-0 record in singles and doubles.
- Millan is a perfect 3-0 in the No. 1 singles flight.
- The No. 1 doubles pairing of Ying Shek and Irena Muradyan are also undefeated with a 3-0 record.
