San José State was one of 173 Division I teams honored on the basis of the Spring 2023 team grade point averages.

“I could not be more proud of this team's commitment to academics, community service, their academic endeavors, and each other. Each member of this team has contributed to this distinction and their commitment to excellence will serve them well in their future endeavors” said Spartan head coach Sage Hopkins.

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA, the first organization of college coaches in America, is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
