COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State's Lacie Ham was named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday.
Ham, a junior from Murrieta, Calif., pitched a complete game shutout on Friday in a 3-0 win over Seattle U and then pitched the final 1.2 innings in a 9-7 win over Portland State on Sunday to close out the Spartans fifth straight win and a four-game sweep in the SVC I.
- This is the first Mountain West weekly award for Ham.
- Ham is the second SJSU MW Pitcher of the Week since 2020. Jenessa Ullegue (3/21/23) was honored with one last season.
- It is the first SJSU softball MW weekly award winner of the season.
- Ham in the SVC I pitched 12.1 innings with a 0.57 ERA and earned two victories while striking out seven.
- Against Seattle U, Ham had two strikeouts and it was her 11th career complete game, second one this season, and also her second career complete game shutout.
- Against Portland State, Ham pitched the final 1.2 innings while only letting up one hit and no runs for her third win of the season.
- Ham is seventh in the MW with 16 strikeouts, second in the conference with three wins and fourth in appearances with six.
