SAN JOSE, Calif. – Sofia Kelemeni recorded her first-career double-double, and Sabrina Ma scored her second 20-plus-point game of the season, but San José State (6-20, 1-13 MW) fell 71-70 in a back-and-forth contest to Utah State (5-21, 2-13 MW) on Wednesday night.

  • Kelemeni was the primary point guard on Wednesday night and dished out a career-high 10 assists to go along with 10 points.
  • The sophomore guard nearly recorded a triple-double with seven rebounds, and she scored nine of her 10 points in the second half.
  • Ma finished with a game-high 23 points, 12 of which came in the third quarter.
  • She knocked down five of the Spartans' seven 3-pointers in the game and pulled down seven rebounds.
  • Amhyia Moreland neared a double-double with 16 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
  • Alani Fluker rounded out the double-digit scorers with a career-high 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field.
  • The Spartans out-rebounded the Aggies 44-38 with 17 offensive rebounds.
  • It was a back-and-forth contest with 19 lead changes and 15 ties.
