Spartans Break Two School Records at Day Two of Mountain West Swim & Dive Championships

HOUSTON - Jenna Jagielski broke the school record in the 3-meter dive with a score of 349.60 to place third and lead the San José State swim and dive team on the second day of the Mountain West Swim and Dive Championships 

  • Ela Frieman broke the school record in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:00.28 to place fourth in the event. The previous record was 2:00.41 set by Morgan McCormick in 2015.
  • Jagielski made the podium and broke a school record for the second day in a row. She also broke the previous record by nearly four points which was a 345.85 set by Cari Reiswig in 2014. 
  • Emily San Jose qualified for the first final of her career, finishing 3rd in the B final of the 3-meter dive with a season-high of 276.8.
  • Amelia Snyder recorded a time of 4:52.61 in the 500-yard freestyle finals to place 10th in the event. 
  • The 400-yard medley relay team of Ellie Shorten, Vilma Lindberg, Dalton Sickon, and Luna Balbuena placed seventh with a time of 3:43.00.
  • Sickon placed 12th in the 50-yard freestyle finals with a time of 23.26.
