SAN JOSE, Calif. – Ethan Ross recorded five strikeouts in six innings pitched on Friday as San José State (0-4, 0-0 MW) fell 7-0 to Seattle U (3-2, 0-0 WAC) in their home opener and first of a three-game series against the Redhawks.
- Theo Hardy had the lone extra-base hit for the Spartans with a double in a 1-for-4 outing at the plate.
- Jeriah Lewis went 1-for-3 with a stolen base.
- Robert Hamchuk, Hunter Dorraugh, Matt Spear and Nathan Cadena each recorded one hit in the game.
- Keaton Chase pitched two innings of relief with a pair of strikeouts.
