ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Emilia Sjostrand defended her long jump title while others set personal bests as San José State closed out day two of the Mountain West Indoor Championships.
WOMEN:
- Sjostrand matched her all-time record in the long jump at 6.48 meters.
- Eve Divinity finishes second in Women's Long Jump at 6.34 meters (20' 8.12"), beating out her previous best of 6.23 meters (20' 5.25").
- Divinity's jump is second all-time at SJSU.
- Sky Hagan set a new all-time record of 8.11 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles to qualify for Saturday's final.
- Hagan also set a personal best in the 60-meter dash with a 7.45-second run to qualify for Saturday's final.
- Alyssa Bean had the second best prelim time in the 400-meter Dash at 53.89, qualifying her for Saturday's final.
- Lina Schubert finished second in the high jump, matching her all-time record of 1.77 meters.
MEN:
- Malachi Snow qualified for Saturday's 60-meter hurdle final with a personal-best 7.75, beating out his previous best time of 7.79 set earlier in February.
- Demaris Waters also qualified for Saturday's 60-meter hurdle final with a time of 7.93.
- Christopher Coats qualified for Saturday's 400-meter Dash with a time of 46.76.
- Jaden Smith also qualified for the 400-meter final with a personal-best 47.61 in the 400-meter Dash.
- Both Jeremiah Walker and Cameron Tarver finished the 200-meter Dash with a time of 21.11, qualifying for Saturday's final.
