Three Spartans Reach Double Figures in Loss to Nevada


SAN JOSE, Calif. - Myron (MJ) Amey Jr., Latrell Davis and Alvaro Cardenas each scored more than 10 points to lead the San José State men's basketball team (9-19, 2-13 Mountain West) in an 84-63 loss to Nevada (22-6, 9-5 Mountain West) on Friday night.

  • Amey Jr. registered a team-high 18 points and made four 3-pointers.
  • Davis produced 17 points and grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
  • Cardenas nearly recorded a double-double with 11 points and eight assists.
  • Christian Wise tied his career high of two blocks for the third time in his career.
  • The Spartans honored three players before the game for senior night, Trey Anderson, Tibet Görener and Ryen Perry.

UP NEXT: The Spartans will play at San Diego State on Tuesday, Feb. 27 on CBS Sports Network and KTRB 860 AM. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. inside Viejas Arena.
