NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Carolina Millan, Irena Muradyan, Cheuk Ying Shek and Jovana Babic each won in singles play to lead the San José State women's tennis team (5-1, 0-0 Mountain West) in a 4-1 win over CSUN (3-1, 1-0 Big West) on Sunday afternoon.
- The Spartans dealt CSUN their first loss of the season.
- Millan won on court one, 6-3, 6-4, to improve to 5-0 in the No. 1 singles flight in 2024.
- Muradyan earned the victory on court two, 7-5, 6-4.
- Babic took care of her opponent on court five, 6-1, 6-1.
- Ying Shek earned the clinching point for SJSU, winning 7-5, 6-2 on court three.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will play the USF Dons in San Francisco on Thursday, Feb. 29 at 11:30 a.m. The match was originally scheduled to be played on Feb. 14 but had to be postponed because of rain.
