Eleven Spartans Earn All-Conference Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Eleven San José State track & field athletes were named to the All-Conference Team, the Mountain West announced Tuesday, after a historic weekend at the Mountain West Indoor Championships.

EMILIA SJOSTRAND:

  • Back-to-back long jump and triple jump champion
  • Set tied her own SJSU record in the long jump (6.48 meters), and shattered her previous record in the triple jump (14.09 meters).
  • Her triple jump mark is the best in the nation, and her long jump mark is 10th best.
  • Sjostrand will compete in her second-straight NCAA Indoor National meet.

SKY HAGAN:

  • Won the 60-meter hurdles with an all-time record 8.09-second run.
  • The mark is a Mountain West Indoor record.
  • Hagan will compete in the event at the NCAA Indoor National meet.
  • Set a new personal best in the 60-meter dash at 7.45 seconds.

EVE DIVINITY:

  • Finished second in the long jump with a mark of 6.34 meters.
  • The mark is a new personal best and is second on the all-time SJSU list.

LINA SCHUBERT:

  • Finished second in the high jump.
  • Tied her all-time record of 1.77 meters.

MALACHI SNOW:

  • Took first place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.67 seconds, second on the SJSU all-time record list.
  • Won the 60-meter hurdles event with a time of 7.75, third on the all-time list.

DEMARIS WATERS:

  • Finished second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.84.

CHRISTOPHER COATS:

  • Won the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.88.
  • Took second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 46.31, second on the all-time record list.
  • Part of the 1600-meter relay team that took second place.

JADEN SMITH:

  • Finished first in the 400-meter dash with an all-time record time of 46.08.
  • Took fourth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.07 seconds.
  • Part of the 1600-meter relay team that finished second.

CAMERON TARVER:

  • Finished second in the 20-meter dash with a 21.00-second run.

JEREMIAH WALKER:

  • Finished third in the 200-meter dash, running the event in 21.05 seconds.
  • Part of the 1600-meter relay team that finished second.

HARRY OVERSTREET:

  • Part of the 1600-meter relay team that finished second.

UP NEXT: The Spartans begin their outdoor season on Saturday at the Cal Opener. Sjostrand and Hagan will compete in the NCAA Indoor National Meet in Boston March 8-9.
