Spartans Gear Up For Matchup With Wyoming

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San José State women's basketball team (6-21, 1-14 MW) gears up for its final two home games of the season, starting with Wyoming (14-12, 9-6 MW) on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.

  • The Spartans are coming off a 67-53 loss at Air Force on Saturday, going into their final two home games of the season.
  • The Spartans currently rank third during Mountain West play in rebounding defense and fourth in rebounding margin.
  • The Spartans are +4.3 in the rebounding margin during Mountain West play.
  • The Spartans are also fourth in blocks per game, steals and offensive rebounds per game.
  • Amhyia Moreland is second during Mountain West play in FG percentage, offensive rebounds and blocked shots and 11th in scoring.
  • Freshman Sydni Summers is currently 12th in the league in 3PT FG's made. 
  • This is the first and only matchup of the regular season between the Spartans and Wyoming.
  • The last meeting between the two teams was in the second round of the Mountain West Tournament on March 6, 2023 where Wyoming won 72-57.
