COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—San José State women’s gymnasts Lauren Macpherson and Madison Kirsch have earned Mountain West honors this week after their performances Sunday in the home meet with Air Force.
Lauren Macpherson – MW Gymnast of the Week/Co-Bars Specialist of the Week
- Won the all-around with a season-best 39.375, tying for the seventh-best all-around score in school history
- Won the bars title with a career-best 9.900
- Also won a share of the beam title with a 9.850
- This is her third Gymnast of the Week honor and second Specialist of the Week honor.
Madison Kirsch – MW Vault Specialist of the Week
- Scored a season-best 9.875 on vault to win the event
- Earned her first event title of the season
- Second Vault Specialist of the Week honor this season.
