LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Kris Stiles of the San José State men's golf team was named the 2024 Pathway Player for the 10th-annual Collegiate Showcase at the Genesis Invitational. The Collegiate Showcase will take place at Riviera Country Club on Monday, February 12th.
- The Pathway Player invitation is awarded annually to a collegiate golfer of minority background who has excelled academically and on the golf course.
- The medalist of the 2024 Collegiate Showcase will earn an exemption to the Genesis Scottish Open, which will take place at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, from July 11–14.
- Stiles competed at last month’s APGA Farmers Insurance Invitational which was televised on the Golf Channel.
- The Collegiate Showcase will also feature a pro-am with a team of three amateurs playing alongside Stiles and representing San José State.
- The winning pro-am team will earn a $50,000 donation to their school's golf program.
- Stiles’ San José State teammate, Caleb Shetler, will also be competing in the Collegiate Showcase.
