FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The San José State men’s basketball team (8-15, 1-9 MW) will battle the Colorado State Rams (18-5, 6-4 MW) inside Moby Arena on Friday evening. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm MT/6:30 pm PT on FS1 and KTRB 860 AM.
- In the Spartans’ most recent game, a 69-57 loss to Fresno State on Tuesday night, Tibet Görener made his 162nd career 3-pointer to become the all-time leader in made shots from beyond the arc in San José State history.
- The Spartans’ head coach, Tim Miles, was the head coach at Colorado State for five seasons, from 2007-08 until 2011-12. Friday’s game will be the second time that Miles will coach at Moby Arena since he left Colorado State after the 2011-12 season to become the head coach at Nebraska.
- One of Miles’ assistant coaches throughout his tenure at Colorado State is the current head coach for the Rams, Niko Medved.
- The Spartans have outscored teams in the first half of games this season, 828-809.
- The Spartans are second in the Mountain West Conference in 3-pointers made per game at 8.96, behind only Air Force.

- Trey Anderson ranks fourth in school history in 3-point percentage (among players who have played in at least 50 games and averaged one or more 3-point attempts per game). His career mark from beyond the arc is 41.6 percent, connecting on 121 of 291 attempts.
VS. COLORADO STATE
- The Rams received votes in the most recent AP Poll and Coaches Poll.
- The Rams have won three games in a row and are coming off a 75-62 victory over Boise State on Tuesday night.
- The Spartans are 2-23 all-time against Colorado State but are on a two-game win streak against the Rams as they took two victories over CSU in the 2022-23 season.
- Cardenas scored in double figures in both games against the Rams last season, including 12 points in a 78-70 win on Dec. 31, 2022 and a team-high 16 points to go along with five assists in a 63-46 decision on Feb. 28, 2023.
