SAN JOSE, Calif. – Robert Hamchuk reached base four times, but it wasn't enough, as San José State (6-12, 2-5 MW) fell 9-6 to Fresno State (13-4, 3-1 MW) in game one of the three-game series on Friday night.
- Hamchuk finished the night 3-for-4 with an RBI triple and a walk.
- Hunter Dorraugh launched his sixth home run of the season and 31st as a Spartan.
- Dalton Bowling extended his league-leading home run total with his seventh of the season.
- Nathan Cadena had the third home run for the Spartans in the game, his second of the season.
- Sebastian Orduno went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double.
- Ethan Ross struck out a pair in five innings pitched.
