SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Pablo Villasenor and Ethan Fong both earned top-five finishes on day one of the Hornet Invitational on Friday, each earning personal-best marks.
WOMEN:
- Alyssa Bean took 12th in the 200-meter dash, running the event in 24.29 seconds.
- Ar'reiya Harper finished 12th in the triple jump with a mark of 11.81 meters (38'9").
MEN:
- Villasenor took fourth place in the hammer throw, throwing a personal-best 57.27 meters (187'10").
- Fong finished fifth in the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 14.5 meters (47'7").
- Jaden Smith finished sixth in the 200-meter dash in 21.33 seconds.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will close out their time in Sacramento on Saturday on day two of the Hornet Invitational. Events are scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
