SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The San José State baseball team (7-13, 3-6 MW) goes back on the road on Tuesday when they face off against crosstown rival Santa Clara (11-6, 0-0 WCC) in their second matchup of the season.

SAN JOSÉ STATE:
- The Spartans are coming off a 1-2 Mountain West weekend agaisnt Fresno State.
- Dalton Bowling had a stellar weekend against the Bulldogs, batting .583 over the weekend with seven hits, two home runs and a double. He went 4-for-4 in the game two win on Saturday.
- Bowling leads the Mountain West in home runs with eight, followed by Hunter Dorraugh with six.
- The Spartans as a team are first in the Mountain West in home runs (23) and triples (9).
- The Spartans won the previous matchup against the Broncos 5-2 on Feb. 27.
SANTA CLARA:
- The Broncos enter the game as winners of three of their last four.
- Santa Clara is coming off a two-game series split against UNLV.
- The Broncos own the all-time series 25-16, but the Spartans have won three of the last four, dating back to 2022.
