SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Jeriah Lewis hit his first home run of the season, but San José State (7-14, 3-6 MW) fell 7-1 in a midweek battle to Santa Clara (12-6, 0-0 WCC) on Tuesday night.

  • Lewis launched his first home run of the season on the first pitch he saw in the top of the third inning.
  • Dalton Bowling earned extra bases with a double in the third inning.
  • Nik Trapani also hit a double in the fifth inning.
  • Nolan George pitched two and two-thirds innings of relief, striking out three batters.
