SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sinia Plotz recorded a hat trick to lead the No. 21 San José State women's water polo team in their 12-5 loss to No. 3 Stanford in the team's Mountain Pacific Sports Federation opener.
- Ivanna Anderson-Villela and Darcy Spark also scored during the match.
- Lucy Miszewski led the team in steals, tallying three.
- Renee Flemming and Spark both recorded field blocks to stop the Cardinals from scoring.
- This is Plotz fourth hat trick of the season.
- The Spartans outscored Stanford in the third quarter 2-1.
