Spartans Head To New Mexico For Series With Lobos

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The San José State baseball team (7-14, 3-6 MW) heads down to New Mexico for a three-game Mountain West series against the Lobos (13-8, 4-2 MW) this weekend, Friday-Sunday. First pitch for game one on Friday is slated for 5 p.m. PT.

PROBABLE STARTERS:

Friday: LHP Ethan Ross (1-4, 8.14 ERA) vs. RHP David Lopez (2-1, 6.93 ERA)

Saturday: LHP Micky Thompson (1-2, 7.46 ERA) vs. LHP Daxton Purser (0-0, 4.74 ERA)

Sunday: RHP Michael Rice (0-0, 2.25 ERA) vs. RHP Wil Bannister (1-0, 7.48 ERA)

SAN JOSÉ STATE:

  1. Dalton Bowling leads the Mountain West with home runs with eight. He is currently in second place alone on the SJSU all-time home run list with 30 home runs in his career.
  2. Hunter Dorraugh is currently second in the league with six home runs. He is the all-time HR leader at SJSU, currently with 35 in his Spartan career.
  3. Robert Hamchuk leads the Mountain West in triples with four.
  4. The Spartans as a team are first in the Mountain West in triples with nine and second in home runs with 24.
