SAN JOSE, Calif. - Irena Muradyan, Cheuk Ying Shek and Rozalina Youseva each won in singles to lead the San José women's tennis team (11-4, 2-2 Mountain West) in a 4-0 victory over UC San Diego (5-12, 1-4 Big West) on Tuesday afternoon.
- Muradyan registered a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win on court one in her first match in the No. 1 singles flight this season.
- Ying Shek recorded a 6-4, 6-1 victory on court two.
- Youseva bested her opponent on court three, 6-1, 6-1.
- The Spartans took the doubles point with wins by Muradyan/Ying Shek on court one and Jovana Babic/Youseva on court two.
- Babic and Youseva played together for the first time in 2024.
- The Spartans entered the match coming off a 4-0 win over Air Force on Sunday.
- SJSU improved to 7-2 at home this season.
