SAN JOSE, Calif. – Nik Trapani had a pair of hits to lead San José State (8-17, 4-8 MW), but the Spartans fell short 5-2 to San Francisco (15-10, 0-0 WCC) on Tuesday night.
- Trapani went 2-for-3 at the plate and drew a hit-by-pitch to reach base three times in the game.
- Robert Hamchuk hit a double off the left-field wall and drove in a run while also scoring once.
- Theo Hardy also drove in a run in a 1-for-3 day at the plate.
- Cade Cushing earned the start and struck out a pair in three innings pitched.
- Corey Sanchez also struck out two batters in two innings of relief.
