Spartans Set For Season Finale At Nevada

RENO, Nev. – The San José State women's basketball team (7-22, 2-15 MW) is set to play its regular-season finale on Tuesday when they take on Nevada (15-15, 9-8 MW) at 6:30 p.m.

  • The Spartans are coming off a 68-56 win over Colorado State in their final home game on Saturday.
  • It was the first win over Colorado State since Feb. 22, 2020.
  • Sofia Kelemeni scored a career-high 16 points to lead the Spartans.
  • Kelemeni has recorded a new career high in either points or rebounds in five games this season.
  • SJSU ranks inside the top five in the Mountain West in offensive rebounding percentage (1st), rebounding defense (3rd), blocked shots (4th), steals (4th), rebounding margin (5th), FG percentage (5th) and 3PT FG percentage (5th), assists (5th).
  • Amhyia Moreland is second during Mountain West play in offensive rebounds, third in FG percentage, tied for third in blocked shots and 11th in scoring.
  • Sabrina Ma is currently fifth in the Mountain West during league play, averaging 2.03 3PT FGs per game. 
  • The Spartans fell 64-57 in the first matchup with Nevada on Jan. 13 and are looking for their first win over the Wolfpack since Jan. 8, 2020.
