Spartans Head to San Francisco for Matchup Against the Dons

SAN FRANCISCO - The San José State women's tennis team (6-1, 0-0 Mountain West) will battle the USF Dons (2-5, 0-0 WCC) at the Olympic Club on Tuesday, March 5 at 12 p.m.

  • The Spartans are coming off a 4-2 win over UC Davis on Monday against whom they took four points in singles play.
  • Cheuk Ying Shek, Jovana Babic, Duru Durgun and Rozalina Youseva each won in straight sets.
  • Two Spartans have earned conference player of the week honors this season, Carolina Millan was named the player of the week on Jan. 31 and Cheuk Ying Shek was voted the freshman of the week on Jan. 31 and Feb. 21.
  • The Spartans and Dons have already rescheduled twice this season because of rain on Feb. 14 and Feb. 29.
  • The Dons have not played since Friday, Feb. 16, a 6-1 win over CSUN.
