SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State women's tennis team (7-1, 0-0 Mountain West) will battle the Santa Clara Broncos (2-5, 0-0 WCC) on Friday, March 8. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m. at the Spartan Tennis Complex.
- The Spartans will be looking for their fourth straight win, following victories over CSUN, UC Davis and USF.
- Over the three matches, the Spartans went 12-3 and lost only one singles match.
- The Spartans are undefeated at home this season with a record of 3-0.
- Carolina Millan leads the Spartans in the No. 1 singles flight with a record of 5-1. She was named the Mountain West Player of the Week on Jan. 31, 2024.
- Cheuk Ying Shek is 5-3 in singles play and has won her last three matches on court three. She received the Mountain West Freshman of the Week honor on Jan. 31 and Feb. 21.
- Duru Durgun and Rozalina Youseva have led the Spartans in doubles play with a 4-1 record on court three.
- The Spartans are 7-9 against the Broncos since 2008 but have won six of the last nine meetings.
- The Broncos are coming off a 5-2 loss at Cal Poly, whom the Spartans defeated 4-3 earlier this season.
