BOSTON – Emilia Sjostrand and Sky Hagan will compete in this weekend's NCAA Indoor National Meet, starting on Friday, after putting together record performances at the Mountain West Indoor Championships on Feb. 22-24.
- The SJSU women's track & field team is ranked No. 25 in the nation, the program's first national ranking.
- Sjostrand will compete in both the long jump and triple jump in Boston after winning both events in the Mountain West Championships for the second-straight year.
- She holds the top mark in the nation in the triple jump (14.09 meters), which is an all-time record, and has the 10th-best mark in the long jump (6.48 meters).
- Both marks are all-time SJSU records.
- Hagan will compete in the 60-meter hurdles after winning the event in the Mountain West Championships with a time of 8.09 seconds.
- The time is both an SJSU and Mountain West Championship record, and she enters the National event with the 114th best time in the country.
- Sjostrand will compete in the long jump on Friday at 4 p.m. PT and the triple jump on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. PT.
- Hagan will compete in the 60-meter hurdles prelim on Friday at 5:05 p.m. PT. The finals are scheduled for 4:40 p.m. PT on Saturday.
