SAN JOSE, Calif. - Duru Durgun only lost two games across singles and doubles play to lead the San José State women's tennis team (8-1, 0-0 Mountain West) in a 4-0 win over Santa Clara (2-6, 0-0 WCC) on Friday afternoon.
- Durgun won 6-0, 6-1 in singles on court six after opening the afternoon with a 6-1 doubles win with her partner Rozalina Youseva on court three.
- Irena Muradyan and Cheuk Ying Shek clinched the doubles point for the Spartans by taking six straight games on court one and winning the set, 6-2.
- Youseva dominated in her singles victory on court five, winning 6-2, 6-1.
- Muradyan secured the victory for the Spartans with a 6-1, 6-3 takedown on court two.
- With the win, the Spartans improve to 4-0 at home.
