Men's Golf Heads to the Bandon Dunes Championship

BANDON, Ore. - The San José State men's golf team will compete in the Bandon Dunes Championship March 10-12, at the Bandon Dunes Resort Pacific Dunes Course in Bandon, Ore., hosted by the University of Idaho.

  • The Spartans will tee off each day in a shotgun at 8:30 a.m.
  • In their most recent tournament, SJSU finished 12th out of 20 teams in the Amer Ari Intercollegiate team competition, shooting a new all-time low record of 826 (-38).
  • Senior Carl Corpus shot consecutive rounds of 67-67-64 to finish tied for second at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate.
  • Corpus leads the Spartans with a stroke average of 69.20 for the season.
  • The field includes No. 4 Washington, No. 25 Oregon, Air Force, Boise State, CSUN, George Washington, Gonzaga, North Dakota State, Oregon State, Seattle U, SIU Edwardsville, UC San Diego, Utah, Utah Valley, and Weber State.
  • The Pacific Dunes Course will be a Par 71 at 6,600 yards.
  • The lineup for the Spartans consists of Corpus, Zubair Firdaus, Caleb ShetlerXuan Luoand Alaric Mercie de Soultrait while Ivan Barahona, Keshav Mungali, and Avinash Iyer will play as individuals.

NEXT UP: The Spartans will head to Eugene, Ore. to compete in the Oregon Duck Invitational hosted by Oregon at Eugene Country Club on March 25-26.
