SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State softball (13-20, 3-7 Mountain West) will return home to resume conference action and play host to San Diego State (23-14, 10-3 Mountain West) for a weekend three game series beginning on Friday, April 12. The game will start at 6:00 p.m. PDT from Spartan Softball Stadium. All three games can be seen on the Mountain West Network. Admission will be free to the public for all three game this weekend.

NEWS AND NOTES
- Reina Zermeno went 3-for-3 at the plate with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored against Pacific on Wednesday.
- Zermeno’s three hits tied her single game season high.
- Zermeno’s two doubles also tied a single game season high for the sophomore.
- Aubrie Thomas went 2-for-2 with two singles, two runs scored and two RBIs against Pacific.
- Ahmiya Noriega went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, a double and one run scored on Wednesday against the Tigers.
- Ah. Noriega also made a diving catch over her shoulder to keep the bases clear in the bottom of the first
- Shay McDowell went 1-for-2 with an RBI single and one run scored against Pacific.
- Makenzie Hutchinson was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in the game on Wednesday.
- Korie Thomas went 1-for-3 with a hit and one run scored against the Tigers.
- Haley Reeve went 1-for-3 with a single in Wednesday’s game against Pacific.
- Mia Reynolds got the start and the win going 4 IP giving up only one run, six hits and two walks.
- Reynolds currently leads the pitching staff in starts, innings pitched and strikeouts.
- The Spartan bats came alive and had a team OPS of 1.201 against Pacific on Wednesday.
NEXT GAME: The Spartans will be back on the road for another midweek non conference game against Saint Mary’s on Wednesday, April 17. The game will start at 3:00 p.m. PDT from Moraga, Calif.
