RENO, Nev. – Nathan Cadena and Hunter Dorraugh both went deep, but San José State (12-22, 7-9 MW) dropped game one to Nevada (13-16, 8-7 MW) 18-4 on Friday night to open the three-game series.
- Dorraugh's homerun was his seventh of the season and extends his all-time record to 36 in his career.
- The senior first baseman also hit an RBI double in the game and drove in three runs total.
- Cadena's homerun in the fourth inning was his fifth of the season.
- Jackson Forbes legged out his third triple of the season in the seventh inning.
- Sebastian Orduno scored two runs and drew two walks in the game.
- Nolan George got the start on the mound and struck out a pair in five innings pitched.
