RENO, Nev. – Matt Spear hit a homerun for the second-straight game, and Theo Hardy sent his fifth over the wall as San José State (13-23, 8-10 MW) knocked off Nevada (14-17, 9-8 MW) 6-3 to close out the three-game series on Sunday afternoon.

  • Sebastian Orduno had a pair of hits in the leadoff spot for the Spartans, including a triple in the fifth inning.
  • Ethan Ross pitched a gem in six innings on the mound, striking out eight batters and only surrendering two hits to Nevada to get the win.
