SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State softball (12-16, 3-3 Mountain West) will continue conference play and return home for a mid-week doubleheader against Fresno State (22-11, 2-4 Mountain West) on Wednesday, April 3. The first game will start at 3:00 p.m. PDT from Spartan Softball Stadium. Both games can be seen on the Mountain West Network.

NEWS AND NOTES
- Ahmiya Noriega went 4-for-9 over the weekend with season highs in hits, runs scored and RBIs against Boise State including the game winning RBI double in extra innings of game three last Saturday.
- Ah. Noriega is currently tied for fourth in the Mountain West in triples with three.
- Reina Zermeno and Ashley Rico hit back-to-back home runs in the top of the fifth inning in game three against Boise State.
- Zermeno’s home run was her fourth of the season which currently leads the team.
- Rico’s home run was her first of the season, she also had season highs in runs scored and RBIs.
- Haley Reeve had a career high in hits and runs scored against Boise State on Saturday. Reeve went 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
- Malia Luna had season highs in hits, runs scored and RBIs last weekend against Boise State.
- The Spartans are currently tied for third in the Mountain West in triples.
- The Spartan bats came up big when it counted in game three against Boise State with six two out RBIs.
- The Spartans have won their last three matchups with Fresno State going back to last season.
NEXT GAME: The Spartans will be back on the road for a two-game conference weekend series against Nevada starting on Saturday, April 6. The first game will start at 1:00 p.m. PDT from Reno, Nev. Both games can be seen on the Mountain West Network.
