SAN JOSE, Calif. – Reina Zermeno and Aubrie Thomas each had a multi-hit game for San José State softball (14-26, 3-13 MW) in an 8-5 loss in game one of this three-game weekend series against UNLV (28-15, 11-6 MW) on Friday from Spartan Softball Stadium.
- A. Thomas went 2-for-4 with two singles and two runs scored.
- Zermeno went 2-for-3 with two singles, one RBI and two runs scored.
- Zermeno is the current leader in the clubhouse in RBIs.
- Shay McDowell was 1-for-3 with a single and three RBIs.
- McDowell’s three RBIs ties her single-game season high.
- With her three RBIs tonight McDowell now sits second on the team in that category.
- Haley Reeve went 1-for-3 with a single.
- Korie Thomas was 1-for-3 with a single.
- K. Thomas is currently hitting .500 in her last four games going 4-for-8.
- Malia Luna went 1-for-1 with a pinch hit single.
- Lacie Ham got the start in game one her 14th of the season.
