SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The San José State baseball team (9-19, 4-8 MW) gets back into conference play this weekend when they host San Diego State (9-18, 4-8 MW) this weekend, starting on Friday at 6:05 p.m.
The series will be played at Stephen Schott Stadium at Santa Clara University.

SAN JOSÉ STATE:
- The Spartans are coming off an 11-8 win over Santa Clara on Tuesday where they took the season series 2-1.
- SJSU took the season series over the Aztecs 3-2 in 2023.
- The Spartans have also won nine of their last 11 meetings with San Diego State, dating back to 2022.
- Dalton Bowling currently sits in second in the Mountain West in home runs with nine, and is tied for first in total bases with 70.
- Robert Hamchuk is tied for fourth in total hits with 38 and is tied with Theo Hardy for first in triples with four.
- The Spartans are tied for second in home runs with 32.
- Jared Lewis made his Spartan debut on Tuesday, reaching base on all five plate appearances with a pair of hits and three walks.
SAN DIEGO STATE:
- The Aztecs enter the series as winners of three of their last four games.
- SDSU took the series over New Mexico last weekend, winning the final two games.
- Aztec pitching ranks first in the league in opponent batting average, second in strikeouts and third in ERA.
