BERKELEY, Calif. – Riley Costales and Kendall McCoy each finished in the top five of their first women’s heptathlon for San José State Track & Field at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in Berkeley on Friday.
- Costales with a personal best score, finished second in the women’s heptathlon standings with 4481 points.
- In the 100 hurdles, Costales finished third with a time 14.94 seconds,a lifetime best for her.
- Costales finished second in the 200 dash with a time of 26.74 seconds, also a lifetime best.
- Costales finished first in the long jump with a lifetime best of 5.48 meters.
- In the 800 run, Costales finished second with a time of 2:32.95, another personal best.
- McCoy finished fourth in the heptathlon with 4057 points, also a lifetime best for her.
- In the 100 Hurdles, McCoy finished 1st with a time of 14.67 seconds.
- In shotput, McCoy finished first with a put of 10.64 meters.
- McCoy finished fourth in the 200 dash with a lifetime best time of 27.42 seconds.
- In javelin, McCoy registered a personal best throw of 14.14 meters.
