RENO, Nev. – Makenzie Hutchinson had a season high in hits to lead San José State softball (12-19, 3-6 MW) as they fell 9-1 in five innings against Nevada (31-9, 9-3 Mountain West) in the first game of this weekend series on Saturday.
- Hutchinson went 2-for-2 with two singles and an RBI.
- Hutchinson’s two hits are a single game season high for the senior.
- Aneesa Almaguer went 1-for-2 with a double.
- Almaguer’s double was her third of the season.
- Aubrie Thomas went 1-for-2 with a single.
- Taylor Squires came in as a pinch runner in the fifth inning and scored a run.
- Mia Reynolds got the start in the first game of this weekend series.
