No. 17 Spartans Set To Host No. 3 USC Sunday

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The No. 17 San José State women's water polo team (9-10, 0-3 MPSF) will host No. 3 USC (15-4, 2-0 MPSF) on Saturday, April 7th at 1:00 p.m. at the SRAC Pool. 

  • Emma Ruzic scored two goals and added an assist against No. 1 UCLA. 
  • Sinia Plotz had her seventh hat trick of the season against No. 9 ASU. 
  • Lucy Miszewski had her third hat trick of the season to lead the No. 17 San José State women's water polo team in their 9-7 loss to No. 8 Princeton.
  • Ivanna Anderson-Villela had her first hat trick of the season to lead the Spartans in their 9-4 win against No. 22 CSU Northridge.
  • Grace Smith tallied 26 saves total and had an assist and three steals at the Bronco Invitational. 
  • Darcy Spark was on fire during the ASU invitational recording nine goals over the weekend and scoring a hat trick in the 5-3 win against No. 12 UCSB.
  • Spark tallied 10 goals total throughout the four games at the Bronco Invitational 
  • Paxtyn Reihs had 100% shooting accuracy with four goals scored to lead the Spartans in their 24-3 win over Ottawa University Arizona.
  • Smith was on fire recording seven saves to lead the No. 19 Spartans in their 5-3 win over No. 12 UC Santa Barbara. 
  • The Spartans went 3-1 at the ASU Invitational. 
  • Miszewski scored three goals to lead the No. 18 San José State women's water polo team in their 10-9 loss to No. 12 UCSB.
  • Spark scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Spartans in their 10-8 win against No. 21 CSUN. 
  • Goalkeeper Smith recorded seven saves on the afternoon in the Spartan's 10-8 win against No. 21 CSUN. 
  • Renee Fleming scored two goals in the match against UC Irvine on January 21st. 
  • Ivanna Anderson-Villela put two points on the board, while Rose Jensen and Lucchesi scored one point each against No. 9 Fresno State.
  • Spark scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Spartans in their 11-6 loss to No. 9 Fresno State.
