SAN JOSE, Calif.—Donavan Yap Jr., a 6-5 guard transfer from Fresno State, has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play men’s basketball at San José State University, as announced by Spartan head coach Tim Miles.

- Averaged 9.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 2023-24 at Fresno State
- Played in 26 games last season, starting 12
- Scored a career-high 23 points in a win over Morgan State
- Spent his freshman year at UNLV (2020-21) where he saw action in five games
- First team All-Southern Nevada by the Las Vegas Review-Journal his senior year of high school
