Spartans Host UNM in Final Regular Season Series

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San José State baseball team (20-30, 14-13 MW) hosts New Mexico (27-22, 16-11 MW) for a three-game series to end the regular season starting Thursday at 6:05 p.m. from Excite Ballpark and it can be seen on NBC Sports Bay Area.

THURSDAY: RHP Nolan George (2-1, 5.45 ERA) vs. RHP Dayne Pengelly (4-4, 6.95 ERA)

FRIDAY: LHP Micky Thompson (3-4, 6.18 ERA) vs. RHP Brett Russell (4-2, 6.12 ERA)

  • The Spartans are fighting for a spot in the Mountain West Championships with only the top four making the tournament
  • SJSU is currently in fifth place due to a tiebreaker

  • Hunter Dorraugh hit a home run at USF (5/7) and has 14 for the season which is good for fourth in the MW
