  • Sebastian Orduno went 2-for-4 and also scored a run on a wild pitch in the sixth inning
  • Nathan Cadena had a hit and scored a run
  • This is the fourth series win for the Spartans in conference play this season
  • If the Spartans win on Saturday they are in the Mountain West Championship tournament
  • If the Spartans lose and if Fresno State loses at Air Force, the Spartans are in the tournament
  • If there is a three-way tie between Fresno State, Nevada and SJSU, SJSU is in the tournament
  • If the Spartans end Saturday tied with just Nevada, they are out of the tournament
  • If SJSU wins and Air Force loses on Saturday, the Spartans will earn a share of the Mountain West regular season title
