McAdoo Named to 25th Season Mountain West Baseball Team

 

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State baseball star Charles McAdoo was named to the 25th Season Mountain West Baseball Team, announced by the conference on Wednesday.

McAdoo helped lead the Spartans to their first Mountain West Championship in 2023 and was an All-American. He also was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 13th round of the 2023 MLB draft and finished his SJSU career with a .325 batting average, 24 home runs, 119 RBIs, 43 doubles, 165 hits and 102 runs.

McAdoo is currently playing for the High-A Greensboro Grasshoppers and is hitting .315 with six home runs in 35 games.

  • Produced 10 home runs and 47 RBIs
  • Started in all 58 games in which he appeared
  • Named to the All-Stanford Regional Team after going 3-for-7 with two home runs and a walk at the regional (6/3)

2022:

  • Had an SJSU record 44 game on-base streak
  • Had the second-best batting average of .345
  • Finished the season with 79 hits, 47 runs, and 63 RBIs
  • Hit a career-high 12 home runs
  • Led the team in doubles (23) while ranking third in the MW
  • Drew 55 starts on 56 appearances
