SAN DIEGO - Hunter Dorraugh hit an SJSU record four home runs with seven RBIs including a grand slam to break the SJSU single-season home run record and lead [3] San José State baseball (24-33, 16-14 MW) in a 16-11 loss against [4] Fresno State (33-27, 16-14 MW) in the 2024 Mountain West Baseball Championship Game Sunday afternoon to conclude the season.
- The Spartans were down 16-3 in the sixth inning and scored eight unanswered runs to finish the game
- The Spartans end their season heading to the Mountain West Championship game in three straight seasons for the first time ever
- This was the first time the Spartans had ever won their first two games in the Mountain West Championship
- The Spartans end the season with an SJSU single-season record of 73 home runs
- This senior class won 20 or more games in three straight seasons for the first time since 2012 and won the 2023 Mountain West Championship
