Hardy Leads Spartans By Air Force as Bowling Breaks RBIs Record

USAFA, Colo. - Theo Hardy hit two home runs and had seven RBIs, Dalton Bowling and Hunter Dorraugh also went deep to lead San José State baseball (19-26, 14-12 MW) in a 17-8 win at Air Force (20-25, 12-11 MW) Saturday afternoon in the second of three games from Erdle Field this weekend.

With his three RBIs on Saturday, Bowling is the SJSU all-time RBIs leader with 148 passing Kyle Bellows who had 146.

Hardy led the game off with an inside-the-park home run to give the Spartans an early 1-0 lead and the Spartans were just getting started as they scored in five consecutive innings to start the game and led 9-1 before the Falcons put three across in the fifth inning to make it 9-4, but Jeriah Lewis, Hardy and Bowling all hit two RBI singles in the ninth inning to help put the game completely away.

  • Hardy has seven home runs on the season and 36 RBIs which makes him the fifth Spartan to have 30 or more RBIs this season
  • It's the first career inside-the-park home run for Hardy
  • This is the second time Hardy has ever had two home runs in the same game and his seven RBIs are a career-high
