SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Hunter Dorraugh hit his 14th home run of the year to lead San José State baseball (19-28, 14-13 MW) on Tuesday in a midweek 9-4 loss to San Francisco (20-28, 3-15 WCC) in the third and final game of this midweek season series with the Dons from Benedetti Diamond in San Francisco, Calif.
The Spartans came out of the gates hot in this game putting up two runs in the top of the first inning off of Dorraugh’s 14th home run of the season. The Dons then took control of the game for good after putting up three runs in both the bottom of the second and third innings.
- Dorraugh finished 2-for-5 on the day with a home run, a single, two RBIs and one run scored.
- Dorraugh’s home run was his 14th of the season so far.
- Dorraugh now sits one HR shy of tying his own single-season SJSU record.
- Dorraugh, SJSU’s home run king continues to add on to his record and now sits at 39 career home runs in a Spartans uniform.
