COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State softball player Reina Zermeno has been named to the 2024 Mountain West All-Conference Second Team.
Zermeno, a sophomore from Sacramento, Calif. came to SJSU in 2023 and has been an offensive cornerstone for the program over the last two seasons. This season she led the team in multiple offensive categories from start to finish.

- Started in all 45 games for the Spartans this season.
- Hit .394 on the season with 50 hits, nine doubles, seven home runs, 38 RBIs with a .456 on-base percentage and slugging .677
- Led team in multiple statistical offensive categories including, batting average, hits, doubles, HRs, RBIs, slugging and on-base percentage.
- .970 fielding percentage this season while sitting third on the team in putouts.
- Mountain West Player of the Week (3/4/24)
- Had a season high nine-game hit streak (2/16-3/3)
- Season highs in hits and doubles against Pacific (4/10)
- Season highs in RBIs and HRs against Utah State (5/04)
- Hit her first career grand slam against Utah State in the season finale (5/4)
