Snow Earns First Team All-American Honors on Third Day of NCAA Outdoor Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Malachi Snow finished in fourth place in the Men’s 110m Hurdles final solidifying his NCAA First Team All-American honor for San José State Track & Field after the second day of men’s competition on day three at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Oregon on Friday from Hayward Field. 

  • Snow running in the Men’s 110m Hurdles final, finished in fourth place with a personal best time of 13.33 seconds.
  • Snow’s time breaks the SJSU all-time outdoor record in the Men’s 110m Hurdles originally held by Dedy Cooper from 1978.
  • This is the second SJSU all-time record that Snow has broken this season. 
  • Snow also broke two individual conference records this season in the 100m and 110m Hurdles.
  • Snow, Cameron Tarver, Jaden Smith, Isaac Davis, Jeremiah Walker and Jared Jones competing in today’s Men’s 4x100 Relay were unfortunately given a DQ for an out of zone pass. 
  • The Men’s 4x100 Relay squad did earn NCAA Second Team All-American status for their participation in the final round today.  
  • The 4x100 Relay squad’s season best time in the semifinal round on Wednesday set a new SJSU all-time record breaking the previous top time held by the original Speed City squad. 
  • The Spartans will have Emilia Sjostrand competing on the final day of competition at Hayward Field in the Women’s Triple Jump.  

UP NEXT: The Spartans will conclude the NCAA Outdoor Championships with the women’s final rounds on the fourth and final day of competition on Saturday, June 8. Field events are set to begin at 2:00 p.m. PDT, and track events will start at 2:32 p.m. PDT from Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. You can watch all of the events on ESPN or ESPN+.
