SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San José State women's tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team, while five Spartans were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”).
To qualify as an All-Academic Team, a team must have a combined GPA of 3.2 or above. To qualify as a Scholar-Athlete, the athlete must carry a GPA of at least 3.5 in the current academic year.
For Olaya Bances Iglesias, Irena Muradyan and Rozalina Youseva, this is the second consecutive year they’ve earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. Cheuk Ying Shek and Adriana Jimenez both earn scholar-athlete honors in their first season at SJSU.
