AUSTIN, Texas—San José State student-athlete Emilia Sjostrand has been named to the 2023-24 third team Academic All-America® women’s track and field/cross country teams, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
She is the second Spartan women’s track and field/cross country student-athlete to receive this honor in program history after Rebecca Garcia was a third-team honoree in 2015.
Sjostrand is the second Spartan to receive Academic All-America®honors after women’s swimmer Ela Freiman was named a third team honoree in April.
