SJSU Men's Water Polo Ranked Ninth Nationally in CWPA Preseason Poll

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State men's water polo was ranked ninth overall nationally in the Collegiate Water Polo Association 2024 Men's Varsity Top 20 Preseason Poll. The Spartan's ranking of ninth ties the 2022 team as the highest preseason ranking in program history.

SJSU is coming off a historic 2023 season. The Spartans won the first-ever West Coast Conference Championship and qualified for the NCAA Men's Water Polo Championships for the first time since 1973. San José State finished last season ranked tied for seventh in the nation in the final CWPA poll of 2023.

The Spartans will open the 2024 season at the Aggie Invite with games against UC Berkeley and UC Merced on September 14.
