DAVIS, Calif. - Mateja Bosić recorded four goals and two assists to lead the No. 12 San José State men’s water polo team (2-1, 0-0 WCC) in a decisive 15-9 victory over No. 8 UC Davis (5-4, 0-0 Big West) the second day of the Aggie Invite. The Spartans also defeated American River College 12-5 in an exhibition match.
Vs. No. 8 UC Davis: 15-9
- Bosić recorded four goals and two assists to lead the Spartans with six points.
- Mitchell Keightley also impressed, recording four goals and an assist.
- Louis Fehrensen, Bence Szabo, and Samu Biros each tallied two goals.
- Austin Hexter scored one goal in the match.
- Maro Tiozzo tallied two assists in the game.
- Connor Macmillan, Giancarlo Marquez and Jamie Steingraf all earned one assist.
- Brendon Gyapjas tallied nine saves in 25.5 minutes in net, allowing only eight goals.
- Alexey Poletaev notched four saves and allowed only one goal in 6.5 minutes of play.

- Nine Spartans found the back of the net in the game.
- Biros led the Spartans with four total points in the match, notching one goal and three assists.
- Tiozzo, Zach Ramans and Nathan Correia led the Spartans in goals with two each.
- Marquez, Steingraf, Hexter, Hamish Bonnar and Luke Burns all scored a goal.
- Tiozzo, Mael Suchet, Eric Ellison, Hexter, Ramans, and Terence O’Donnell all recorded an assist.
- Poletaev recorded 11 saves and only allowed five goals in 32 minutes of play.
